This clutch disc is designed to absorb the vibrations of the diesel engine and give the ability to haul heavy loads without causing premature disc failure. The OEM Ford 6 speed clutch system also has the reoccuring problem of throwing the springs from the disc resulting in clutch failure. Your new clutch has features built in to eliminate this problem. This kit replaces the factory needle roller style pilot bearing. Failures easily and often occur with this type of design. Your new clutch will come with a heavy duty ball bearing to correct this problem. Ceramic/Kevlar buttons are used for outstanding holding power.
